Pros: Decent detection range for this price level. Picks up POP mode radar and has a voice alert. Picks up the Safety Warning System transmitters, which, unfortunately, are largely nonexistent.

Cons: Essentially identical to the Whistler XTR-690, with the same cons, but, unlike the XTR-690, this detector lacks the selectable band defeat feature.

Bottom Line: If you don’t feel the band defeat feature is relevant to your needs, this detector is otherwise the same unit as the XTR-690.
